About Us

Mother & Daughter

Partners is a non-profit organization that provides free legal help in New Jersey to low income, abused victims of domestic violence. Founded in 2002 by two attorneys who took no salaries and used donated furniture and computers for several years, Partners now has a full time program staff of eight and numerous volunteer lawyers. Our staff is experienced, knowledgeable and caring. We have bilingual capability.

Since its founding in 2002, Partners has helped thousands of women by offering technical and procedural advice, legal advice and counsel, pro bono and direct legal representation and referrals.  Victims call from all over the State, from outside the State, and even from outside the US, but are mainly concentrated in northern New Jersey and in particular, Essex, Union, Hudson and Middlesex counties.   These are survivors who generally fall through the cracks in our legal system, and who are desperate for help in turning their lives around.

Partners for Women and Justice does not discriminate on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, race, color, religion, national origin, age or disability.
