Partners for Women and Justice is proud to honor
Virginia “Ginny” Bauer with a Partner in Hope
Award for her dedication to public service. As a 9/11
widow, Ginny gained national recognition while she
worked closely with Congressional leaders and the
White House toward the successful enactment of
legislation on behalf of victims’ families.

Since 2003, Ginny has held numerous
government positions, including Director of the New
Jersey Lottery; Commerce Secretary; and
Commissioner for the Port Authority of New York
and New Jersey, a position she continues to hold
today. She also serves on the board of several
community-based and professional organizations.
Today, Ginny is Chief Executive Officer of GTBM,
Inc., a firm that develops and markets proprietary
software solutions for real time security information.

Almost ten years after the 9/11 tragedy, Ginny
remains a committed advocate and inspiration for
hope as she devotes her energies to the new
development plan for the World Trade Center site.
