Sheri Hecht Leonard Esq. and Frank J. DeAngelis, Esq. Elected to Partners’ Board

Partners for Women and Justice (“Partners”) welcomes two new trustees, Sheri Hecht Leonard, Esq. and Frank J. DeAngelis, Esq., to its Board of Trustees.  Leonard and DeAngelis were approved at Partners’ June board meeting.  The two new members join a thirteen member board engaged in overseeing Partners’ finances, fundraising and operations while furthering Partners’ mission of providing assistance to domestic violence victims and their children. 

Leonard, Assistant General Counsel at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey since 2005, began at the company in 2001.  She is responsible for providing legal advice to all Company departments; strategizing and directing all aspects of complex commercial and healthcare litigation; and managing outside counsel.  Leonard is passionate about helping abused women and their children.  As a law student she received a grant to work on child abuse and child sex abuse cases in the Attorney’s Office in Orange County, New York.  Recently she has been involved in the domestic violence agency, Shelter our Sisters. 

DeAngelis, a partner at Mound Cotton Wollan & Greengrass, has over fifteen years of experience in domestic and international litigation.  He has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at Seton Hall University School of Law since 2001.  In 2009 he was selected Adjunct Professor of the Year.  DeAngelis was included in New Jersey Super Lawyers in 2012, New Jersey Super Lawyers, Rising Stars, 2008-2010, as well as the New Jersey Law Journal’s 40 Under 40 in 2009.  He is also a member of the Supreme Court of New Jersey, District V-A Ethics Committee.
